“Fun with Flickr”

October 21, 2009

I learned that Flickr is a way to get my own photos and videos to anyone I want on the Web.  It is free also, so I might as well sign up to the website. On Flickr I can upload my photos, edit them, organize them in albums, share my pictues and maps of where my pcitures were taken, make any type of card I want, while keep intouch with my family.  This website has everything possible you could want to have, that is what I have learned from the online tour of Flickr.

On Flickr posting my photos allows my family whom which I can not visit frequently see the pictures, because all they have to do is go to Flickr.com and they are there.  This is helpful in many ways.  One, it would save a lot of money for airplane tickets, and two it also allows them to always have a copy of the photo.  This is how it would help me get my photos to family and friends.

I would keep many pictures public, but some that may not be “appropriate” for school or relatives I would keep private, that is if i post them at all.  Now, everyone has a couple of embarassing photographs too, and I am positive if i had any that those would definitly be private, because every now and then I might want to glimps at them and laugh about it to myself.  This is how I would use the Public/Private ability.
